PD2 is a mod for Diablo II: Lord of Destruction which includes many quality-of-life and balance changes, along with some new content. It aims to maintain the D2:LoD experience while improving on the game as if development never ceased. PD2 offers increased build diversity as well as many other improvements over the vanilla game.

Adds X-Y Damage (or Adds X damage if the min and max are the same) is the same modifier as +X to Minimum Damage and +Y to Maximum Damage; the game just displays those as a single modifier if there are more than one present at once. They'll be added to the weapon's damage after weapon %ED is applied but before off

On Open you can hack and stuff and is not hosted by Blizzard, instead it is done by the people creating the games so it's laggier and much less people play on it. Close you can't hack, servers are not as laggy and it is where the majority of d2 playerers play. "I have nothing to lose but my life, and I got that for free!"
